Rebecca Dmytryk, Wildlife Emergency Services gets called out by true experts

Someone in a Yahoo group posted about a trapped animal. Rebecca Dmytryk the self professed "expert" responded with this crap. Rebecca Dmytryk charges for advice, illegal trapping, anything she can because she doesn't have a job. She lives off her for profit non-profit. Remember Rebecca Dmytryk has never had a rehab permit ever. She does not have a trapping permit, USDA permit, is not a licensed pest control operator, has no permits whatsoever. Here she is telling us rehabbers not to help people. We should refer them to her so she can make money off the animal. This is why Rebecca Dmytryk is so nasty. We do all of this for free. We don't charge because we care about animals.

"PLEASE refer callers to one of our local humane wildlife control specialists. You can find them listed here:

http://www.humanew****ildlifec ontrol.org/

Just give them any of those numbers or give them our number 855-548-6263 so we can deal with them appropriately. By that I mean, we can talk them through and talk them in to giving us their address, usually.

There are plenty of solutions, but each situation is different, so please, do not give out advice, leave it to the specialists who deal with ___ like this every day. Okay?

Another thing is, We - those of us who are competing with the exterminators - we need the jobs (and the animals need our help) - so don't try and solve a person's problem with free advice - give them "our" numbers. Please.

Rebecca Dmytryk
Wildlife Emergency Services"

Here are some responses to Rebecca Dmytryk's nonsense.

"I thought this group is about sharing information.  We are all capable people and if we are giving out wrong information, then tell us what the right answer should be.  Your insistence on being the only one capable of helping callers is not a helpful solution.  Telling us not to give free advice and to send them to you so that you can make money, isn’t either."

"my thoughts also Laura   thank you"

"We are " it" here in Tahoe - no one else to give info or any humane wildlife specialists so we HAVE to have it right!"

Rebecca Dmytryk makes a ridiculous reply. She says she isn't the only one capable of helping. Then she says she is the only one capable of helping. She knows full well warden won't do a damn thing. Here she says that rehabbers should be referring her business so she can make money. Again, I do this for free. I am licensed. She is not.

"Let me be clear - Norma - Laura - I am NOT saying the I am the ONLY ONE capable of helping callers and I am NOT asking that all calls be sent to me - not at all!!!

I am asking that calls about nuisance wildlife go to those who are providing humane wildlife control services.

And, yes, it makes the most sense to let the experts handle it!

Case in point - today's call about the raccoon, if I'd handled it, for example, I'd have the address of the person and have contacted a warden by now.

Those of us who do this day in and day out are skilled at knowing what to say and how to say it… at least a good deal of the time. : )

Too often - daily, really, I get calls from people who are totally frustrated because a rehabber told them to put ammonia on a rag or mothballs in the crawlspace or whatever - and it didn't work (BECAUSE IT DOES NOT WORK!) and then I have a much, much, MUCH harder time asking them to work with me rather than call the exterminator!

Laura - what is it about referring humane wildlife control professionals that you don't agree with? Please answer.

It absolutely makes perfect sense for rehabbers to refer experts, and it's easy to just simply say "Let me send you to the experts who can help you with your wildlife problem. Here are their numbers…" - or take their number and email one of us to call them. Easy. And you don't have to spend time talking them through a situation that can take 10-20 minutes to do it the right way.

We need the support, too. Do you want us to fail or succeed at what we're trying to do here, Laura?

Support the humane wildlife control professionals, don't undermine us!

Rebecca Dmytryk"

Another reply.

"Rebecca  if you re-read your original email from our eyes  it does sound like  you are saying  you and yours are the only ones that can handle situation like this.     Not true, most of us were handling this stuff long before you and yours moved to N. Cal." and "you do not rehab."

another

"I get a lot of nuisance animal and trapping questions.  I get at least the phone number (I tell them that my phone is running low and would they give me their number so if it dies I can call them back or they show up on caller ID) and often get an address because they think I am going to drop everything and come out.  After 23 years I am comfortable in giving information, especially the problems of trapping and relocating, the issues of babies and yes, if you don't fix the problem you will be calling me back.

A majority of people do not want to pay for a service and never make the call to the referral but go ahead an take care of it themselves.

I find that as someone they know takes in these animals and cares for them they feel I am not only compassionate, as well as passionate, but knowledgeable.  I try not to tell them WHAT to do but what they should do.  Some people care about the animal and some could care less.

As far as contacting a warden, good luck!  I have contacted wardens, CalTip, Nicole and everyone possible to resolve a problem and no one ever followed through.  I will say, we got a new warden two years ago and I am having good luck with him at least making a call and he did go out, on a weekend, to get a baby squirrel from someone who would not give it up so I am very hopeful that this is finally going to be an option."

"I think there are a lot of resources and yours is certainly one that should be encouraged but rehabilitators are often the first responders to the problems and can answer many questions and do have the knowledge.  I don't think there is any one person who knows it all."

another reply

"Here in Humboldt we've been working to make "humane solutions" the policy of the county as well as trying to get local CDFW support. This hasn't been exactly like falling off a log. We don't have terrific support from the local CDFW office in Eureka - they seem to be pretty old school - and refer most of their calls to the county trapper, ie USDA Wildlife Services who have stupidly trapped and killed hundreds of raccoons, skunks, and opossums in the last 3 years (see www.birdallyx.net for more detailed info)

We have started our Humane Solutions program, much like WildCare, Sonoma County Wildlife Rescue, and Lindsay Wildlife Museum, to address this by offering a real alternative. This has been effective case by case, but doesn't work very quickly n the big picture. So advocacy and outreach, which are mainstays of wildlife rehabilitators everywhere are necessary. Effective education for rehabilitators (no one is born knowing how to talk a crazy person who wants to trap a skunk down from the ledge) is critical. While professional services are awesome, in CA and many other places, those people are few and far between. When the choice is between a "county trapper" and trying to solve the problem over the phone at the time of the call, it's hard to pick referring the person to another entity whom they may or may not call."

another

"Two things to add:

1. WildCare successfully helped lobby Marin County to stop hiring a trapper. It was costing taxpayer money and we were able to convince the county that there were other ways that worked better than just shooting animals. Donkeys and llamas to protect sheep from coyotes, etc. Something to think about.

2. Wonderful news that CCWR is offering phone service coaching. I’d like to add that fundraising should be an integral part of that — not at the moment of the call, but if you are sure to get complete phone and mailing information, you can come back later in the season and send a fundraising appeal to those people. Our “Hotline” callers turn out to have an even better response (in the form of donations) than our clinic rescuers — and our phone staff doesn’t even get 1/3 of the callers' information! We end up having to go back over phone logs (essential!) and doing reverse lookups to get mailing addresses. These callers must be very grateful to have had the advice.  Think how many more donations we’d get if we could capture more info at the time of every call!"

I can tell you from personal experience that Rebecca Dmytryk does not know what the hell she is doing. In the Moorpark rabid bat incident I gave free consulting, advice, climbed on the roof, gave them a written plan all for free. Dmytryk heard about this and bad mouthed me to the city and other agencies along with crazy lady *****. All the agencies realized they were nuts and only worked with me. Rebecca Dmytryk wanted the city to pay her and her husband to replace the tile roof of all houses in that tract! That is the stupidest advice I have ever heard. Rebecca Dmytryk only wants money.

Rebecca Dmytryk doesn't know mockingbirds need their legs to get food, Rebecca Dmytryk

Someone asked if they could release a mockingbird with one leg. Rebecca Dmytryk here who is not a bird rehabber or expert incorrectly said "yes."

Rebecca Dmytryk, WildRescue, not an expert, Rebecca Dmytryk

An experienced mockingbird rehabber said "no." They would not survive. They use their legs and feet to scratch for food. It would die a slow death if you released it. Rebecca Dmytryk did not know this. I only rehab mammals and I know this. It's pretty obvious if you have ever watched a mockingbird.

Rebecca Dmytryk admits she is not a rehabber and does not rehab, Rebecca Dmytryk, fraud, wildlife rescue

Rebecca Dmytryk of WildRescue, Wildlife Rescue, admits she is not a rehabber. Then why does she lie and state she's been a rehabber for over 30 year? Why is she a member of CCWR, California Council for Wildlife Rehabilitators? Why does she try to give us rehabbers bad advice? She's in the CCWR group trying to tell us what to do. Everyone has to correct her very bad advice.

Rebecca Dmytryk commits perjury, fraud, lies to the court, criminal behavior

It's a crime to lie under oath. It is punishable by up to ten years in prison. Rebecca Dmtryk committed perjury. She lied in her sworn statement. She lied to the court and judge. Not only did she lie but she's a really stupid liar.  She stated in court documents she made the defamatory statements about me in 2007. She stated this so she would be outside of the statute of limitations for defamation which is two years. I subpoena'd Google and found out that Rebecca Dmytryk made the defamatory blog about me i.e. victimsofmisscummins in 2011 within a few months of me suing her for defamation. I also had an old copy I printed out when she originally made the blog in 2011, not 2007. When she heard I was going to sue her is when she changed the dates to predate the statute of limitations. Here is further proof of her perjury. The date on this post reads November 6, 2007. Look at the headers. It is listed in posts from May 2011. Top right you can see that I printed this out today December 14, 2013. This is how incredibly stupid Rebecca Dmytryk is. No one should ever do business with this person because she commits perjury, lies, steals and WildRescue is not a legal non-profit organization. She doesn't even file 990 tax returns. You have no idea where the money is going. Based on their bankruptcy documents they don't make enough money to live. I believe they are stealing money from their fake non-profit and using it for themselves. Her husband is Duane Titus. Check out this blog to see their bankruptcy documents. They were also found guilty of bankruptcy fraud. They were even sued for bankruptcy fraud and lost. They intentionally ran up a bunch of credit card bills right before filing for bankruptcy. They admitted they had no means to even make the minimum payment on their credit cards. That is fraud. That is theft. That is criminal behavior.

Most popular posts about Rebecca Dmytryk - bankruptcy, bankruptcy fraud, dad's divorce

This is very interesting. More people are searching for Rebecca Dmytryk than *** or Dr. Gary Michelson. I think it may be because her dad actor Edward Dmytryk is mentioned in this blog. Otherwise I see no reason why anyone would be interested. Rebecca Dmytryk is not a rehabber, has never been a rehabber, has never had a rehab permit, has no degrees, is not well respected, she attacks everyone and most people who know anything about wildlife really dislike her.

Rebecca Dmytryk wants $32,000 to build a phone app when it can easily be done for free

There are already phone apps to find services in geographical areas. They are free or anyone can build one for free. I believe this is just another donation ruse so Rebecca can get money to live off of. She did this earlier asking for I think $50,000 for a phone tree. I made a phone tree for free with a $99 computer software program. She also requested $3,500 or $5,000 for a net gun, another ruse. She didn't need a high powered net gun to get a seagull. She ended up easily catching it with a small net. Previously she needed money for a wildlife ambulance. She didn't have an ambulance license. She legally could not drive the ambulance with the markings and lights.

Rebecca Dmytryk of WildRescue is not a non-profit. She states she works under another non-profit but they don't have a breakdown for WildRescue in their 990's. Rebecca Dmytryk is like ***. They beg for money for projects they can't or won't do.

Edward Dmytryk divorced Rebecca Dmytryk's mother Jean Porter January 2, 1979

Rebecca Dmytryk's dad Edward Dmytryk divorced her mother Jean Porter January 2, 1979. Everyone knows that Rebecca Dmytryk updates all of her family's wikipedia, imdb... pages. Why did Rebecca lie and state they were married until he died when they weren't? Guess who filed for the divorce? Based on the documents it seems to be her dad. I wonder why he divorced her mom?

Edward Dmytryk divorced Jean Porter January 2, 1979
While doing some research I learned a few more things today. People have always asked me why Rebecca Dmytryk acts like a spoiled brat. I believe the reason is because Her mom and dad got married, had two kids quickly. Rebecca seems to have been a later in life accident. She was basically an only child because of the age difference. Perhaps her mom spoiled her when her husband divorced her? Jean Porter is not online and won't see this. She's in a retirement villa.

Edward Dmytryk and her mom Jean Porter gave Rebecca Dmytryk a house for free. What did Rebecca Dmytryk do? She kept refinancing all of the equity out until she had to sell it. Rebecca Dmytryk has not really had a real job that can pay her bills in her entire life. Right now she's whining about how the government should give her money for her volunteer wildlife "rescue" work. Again, Rebecca Dmytryk is not a wildlife rehabilitator. She doesn't help animals. She merely picks them up, takes photos/videos/donations then dumps them on a rehabber who has to do all the work, pay all the bills.

UPDATE: To the person who anonymously (Rebecca?) tried to leave a comment, you are wrong. I pulled up the documents in his family tree. Victoria Jean Dmytryk born 1951, Richard Dmytryk born 1949, died 1992, Rebecca T Dmytryk born 1961. These are the children of Jean P Dmytryk and Edward Dmytryk.

Edward Dmytryk had a first wife named Madaline N Robinson born 1912, died 1952. They had a child named Michael J Dmytryk born in 1941. Michael is not the son of Jean.

My point here is that Rebecca Dmytryk acts like an entitled person who believes she doesn't have to follow laws, rules or any common courtesies. Rebecca Dmytryk loves to attack people. She lives to harass and defame people. She has a major problem getting along with people. You should view the lawsuit that the California Wildlife Center had to file against her. There are a few statements in there about what a horrible person Rebecca Dmytryk truly is. I can vouch for all of it. I've known her 12 years now.

She's in a group called California Council of Wildlife Rehabilitators. I don't know why she's a member when she is not and has never been a licensed wildlife rehabilitator. In that group she tries to tell us what to do. She gives horrible advice and is corrected by others. All she does is pick up wildlife, take photos and videos of them, takes a donation then dumps the animals off on others who have to care for it. On top of this she then bad mouths the other rehabbers. She's a piece of work.

California Wildlife Center is a good wildlife rehabilitation facility

I am sorry that I have to mention California Wildlife Center in this issue. They did nothing wrong in this situation with Rebecca Dmytryk. I just need to show that Rebecca Dmytryk has been attacking people and organizations for years. It's her MO. She attacked California Wildlife Center, City of Los Angeles, GM of LA Animal Services Jerry Greenwalt, City Councilwoman Jan Perry, Fish & Game, City of Moorpark, City of Malibu, City of Santa Monica, many other rehabbers and homeowners besides me. Most people live in fear of the woman.

When I first became a wildlife rehabilitator Warden Joseph Baima told me she was bad news and I should stay away from her. I most certainly did. She still has been attacking me since 2002, over ten years.

California Wildlife Center is very different than it was back in 2000. All the changes have been for the better. Before Rebecca Dmytryk ran it as her own personal business. There were many complaints. The best thing they ever did was vote her off the board. If she had stayed on the board and continued with her negative behavior, CWC would have crumbled and that would have been a shame. They do a lot of good work.

I remember the first time I met Rebecca Dmtryk in 2001. She was giving a "Wildlife Paramedic" class in the community center in Malibu next to the beach. I still have that class "manual" which is just copy/paste of other people's articles. She started the class off with "I started CWC. Then my board members stole it from me and kicked me out." Then she trashed CWC. I didn't even know she had anything to do with CWC at that time. I thought it was pretty odd she'd start off the class that way. As the class progressed I totally understood why CWC would not her on the board. She did not know what she was talking about, gave bad advice and has very poor people skills. She has not changed a bit. If anything, I believe her people skills have continued to deteriorate.

I think it was a year or so ago when Rebecca Dmytryk approached Brenda Barnette of LA Animal Services. Dmytryk told Barnette that she, Dmytryk, must be paid to set up a wildlife policy and transportation system. I told Barnette that we did that for free back in 2004. The system is working well. Dmytryk was doing her same extortion routine that she did in 2004. I told Barnette to ask the people who were at the 2003 meeting that she crashed, illegally record then tried to extort the city. LA did not hire Dmytryk.

Rebecca Dmytryk and *** are so very much alike. They're both uneducated though I think Dmytryk at least went to high school. They both claim to be experts when they are not. They take credit for the work of others. They live to attack and threaten people with negative media, lawsuits and being turned into the authorities. Truly two peas in a pod.

Rebecca Dmytryk doesn't know when Earth Day is

Rebecca Dmytryk is not a wildlife rehabilitator. She has never had a wildlife rehabilitation permit as per Fish & Game. She admits she does not rehab wildlife. She says she just does rescue. What she actually does is "try" to rescue animals. Her main purpose is to take video, promote herself as a rescuer to the media to feed her ego and get donations from the public. If the animal survives, she dumps it on a rehabber who has to feed it hourly for weeks, care for it for months at great expense. She does not give the donation to the rehabber which is really bad form. If I pick up a bird for another rehabber, I always give them the donation and intake form besides getting the animal stabilized and cared for.

Rebecca Dmytryk sends a post to the CCWR Yahoo group. She says we can help clean up fishing line on Earth Day. She gets the days mixed up. For the life of me I do not know why she is a member of the California Council for Wildlife Rehabilitators. I believe they fear her mean spirit which is why they allow her. She tries to tell us how to rehab wildlife when she is not a rehabber. She gives really bad advice. I will be posting her CCWR posts here for all to see others rehabber tell her she doesn't know what she is talking about.

Hi Rebecca hate to rain on your wonderful idea but you have picked a really bad time for most rehabbers its baby season and the majority of us are up to our little ears in little ones and 2-3-4 hour feedings. Can we move this to later like Sept or October the weather is nice and at he babies are either gone or grown and do not require so much of our attention. Otherwise I would join you but no can do but it does lsound like fun, gets us
out and accomplishes a much needed effort.

The infamous "beer can on seagulls' heads" ruse

I remember when Rebecca Dmytryk first started posting about this "story." I knew something wasn't right. In the end it appears it was all just a ruse on the part of Rebecca Dmytryk to get money. As per Rebecca Dmytryk's bankruptcy documents she wasn't making much money. I'm pretty sure she is living off of donations to WildRescue.

Supposedly Rebecca had been receiving emails about seagulls with cut beer cans on their heads October 2012 but they didn't do anything about it because they were out of town. November 2012 they state they have received photographic evidence and start sending around this photo. They state the bird cannot eat or drink with this can on it's head. Supposedly the can had been on for months. Then why isn't it dead? Also note that they are taking this pic up close. Seagull isn't frightened of them. Bird looks perfectly healthy.

Rebecca Dmytryk says the "only" way to save these birds is to give them I think it was $3,500 for a net launcher. A netlauncher would be too powerful for one seagull. Plus, remember, this one hasn't eaten or had any water in over a month <eye roll>. From the internet,

"MOSS LANDING (CBS/AP) – A wildlife rescue group said beer can chokers worn by at least three seagulls from San Francisco to Half Moon Bay are no joke—and no accident.

WildRescue director Rebecca Dmytryk said members of her group spotted one of the birds over the weekend, but couldn’t catch it. Dmytryk urged the public not to try catching the birds, either."
Notice members of WildRescue spotted one of the birds. Hmmm. More from the articles,
"I feel pretty confident that if word gets around, we’ll be able to find the birds and help them," Dmytryk said. "I’m also hopeful that we’ll track down the perpetrator, maybe even through fingerprints. But, just that people are watching, and there’s a bounty, maybe that’s enough to get them to stop torturing animals." So who'd do such a thing? "It's probably someone who is bored and needing to show off," said Dmytryk."
Of course she feels confident they'll "find" the bird and "help" it. Notice she says it's probably someone needing to "show off." How very telling. Would that be Rebecca Dmytryk? And more,
"Now, Moss Landing-based WildRescue is hoping to raise $3,500 to buy a high-tech piece of equipment called a Coda Netlauncher to help the birds, and said they’re pretty much at a loss without it."
Everyone soon realizes it's all a scam. They even offered a reward for info leading to the person who put the beer can on the bird's head. I said it was probably Rebecca Dmytryk. Where do I get my reward money?
When the gig was up and people online were posting that it was probably a scam, they all of a sudden catch the seagull with a regular net. They didn't need the net gun after all.
If that wasn't enough the video of them removing the can is laughable. You could just take the can off the bird's head but no, not theatrical enough. They cut it off slowly for the camera. The bird's feathers under the can are perfect. He did not have that can on his head for three months or even three weeks or days. I bet they put it on him that morning. If you look at the video they release the seagull who then turns around and comes back to them.
The Coda Netlauncher is for trapping a few birds at once, not just one. From their site "The Coda Netlauncher is ideal for capturing a large number of birds in a single remote firing. It is used often for bird flu sampling. It is also used for relocation of nuisance or pesky birds such as pigeons at retail locations."
One last thing which really gave Rebecca Dmytryk away was when she was posting about being in the field and looking for the bird. She would type out "from my iPhone" on her Facebook page. That's not how it works. It's automatic. Yes, she was sitting at her house typing on a regular computer and just wanted people to think she was in the field. She wasn't. She was lying. I saved an image of that ridiculous post.
I'd like to say that this "myth" of the seagulls with beer cans on their heads is officially busted.

Rebecca Dmytryk gives bad bat advice then takes credit for my work and others

Moorpark had a problem with California myotis bats which tested positive for rabies. The Health Dept ordered the homeowner to quarantine the bats. He hired a pest control operator who did a crappy job and the bats easily left.
Rebecca Dmytryk kept giving this really bad advice. She says rabid bats leave their colonies to die. No, they don't. They generally stay in the roost as they are unable to fly well enough to leave. They die in the roost. I know this because when I was at ***we were picking up a couple of dead bats per day from the floor which ***stated most likely died from rabies. We did not pick up any outside the roost.
"Just because a number of grounded bats have tested positive for rabies, this does not mean the colony itself is rabid. Rabid bats leave their colony to die alone. This is likely why there has never been an outbreak of rabies in a colony of bats in all recorded history," said Rebecca Dmytryk, administrator for WildRescue.~Ventura County Star
Rebecca Dmytryk and ***then attacked the health dept, city of moorpark and homeowners. They pissed off the homeowners so much that they ordered the pest control person to trap and kill the bats. They told me they wanted them dead so the bat huggers would shut up.
I went there and offered my help for free. We inspected and wrote a report for the city instantly. The bats left that house and went next door. The number of rabid bats then dropped. *** and Rebecca Dmytryk then attack me saying that I told them to trap and kill the bats. I most certainly did not.
In the end the bats were saved in spite of all the crap that Rebecca Dmytryk and *** did. Guess who took credit for that? Rebecca Dmytryk and ***! They both posted that they were the reason for the positive ending. *** even wrote about it in her newsletter. SHE is the hero. This is how crazy these two individuals are.

Rebecca Dmytryk of WildRescue denied contract with City of Malibu

Rebecca Dmytryk tried to get a contract with the City of Malibu to perform wildlife rescue services. She was denied. Below is the agenda item where they recommend denying her.

http://www.animaladvocates.us/dmytryk_denied_city_contract.pdf

In Dmytryk's application for permit she writes a defamatory letter about the California Wildlife Center. They respond, see below.

http://www.animaladvocates.us/rebecca_dmytryk_cwc_letter.pdf

This is what Rebecca Dmytryk does. She attacks groups and cities out of jealousy. She tried to get a contract with the City of LA during the same time. This is when I got the new LA City wildlife policy passed. She crashed our meeting uninvited, illegally tape recorded it then attacked the City and animal control. That is not how you get a city contract.

Rebecca Dmytryk kicked out of California Wildlife Center

From court documents. The California Wildlife Center filed a restraining order against Rebecca Dmytryk. After she was voted off the board she refused to leave the premises, stole money, property...

"This case results from the unauthorized conduct by defendant Rebecca Dmytryk a recently removed and now disgruntled former member of the board of directors of the california wildlife center. By a majority vote of the board at a special meeting held on January 29, 2000 at Dmytryk's request, plaintiff Aaron Frank and the only other present board member Janice Nokira voted to remove Dmytryk from the board as a result of her inability to work with the center's paid staff and volunteers and her generally hostile disposition. Instead of turning over possession of the center's property and control of access to the premises to Frank or Nokira, Dmytryk instead has resorted to self-help tactics by taking the center, its property, and the premises hostage in a last ditch effort to salvage her position with the center.

Among other things, Dmytryk has used her threatening disposition to drive the Center's paid staff, the other board members and a majority of the volunteers off the premises. In addition, Dmytryk changed the locks to the residence of Frank and the center's other paid employee, Dawn Marie Smith, and placed their personal property on the street. Dmytryk also has absconded with the center's bank accounts, disabled its emergency response system and prevented the paid staff, board members and volunteers from accessing their telephones and voice-mail.

As a result the center's operations have come to a screeching half. Volunteers have been instructed not to appear on the premises and, instead, Dmytryk has moved onto the premises and is believed to be using it as her own personal residence."

Glenda Singer affidavit, "Since I began working at the center, I have found Ms. Dmytryk to be tyrannical and unappreciative of the efforts of the volunteers. In fact, I have experienced trouble retaining volunteers due to Ms. Dmytryk's disposition.

Most recently on February 6, 2000 at 11:30 a.m. I was working at the center in an attempt to update the computer's database regarding the center's school education program. Without provocation Ms. Dmytryk walked over to the computer and turned off the computer. Thereafter I stood up and Ms. Dmytryk followed me around the center before (1) instructing me to gather my personal belongings; (2) grabbing an office supplies box out of my hand; (3) accusing me of improperly spending the center's funds and (4) demanding that I leave the center.

My primacy concern s that the center continue to operate by caring for the animals currently being treated and that the center's future is protected by a return of control of the center to Mr. Frank."

Janice Nikora affidavit, "There recently has been a developing tension between Ms. Dmytryk and Mr. Frank. It is my belief that this tension results directly from Mr. Dmytryk's inability to work constructively with others."

Dawn Marie Smith affidavit. "As the director of animal care at the center, it is imperative that I reside on the Center's property. I was advised by several volunteers that a return to my residence at the center would endanger my safety. As a result I did not attempt to go home until today. When I returned I discovered that all of my personal property had been placed outside my residence and the locks had been changed. My continued absence from the center endangers the animals currently being treat as well as the ability of the center to continue operating."

I Mary Cummins have known Rebecca Dmytryk since 2002. I totally agree with what these people said in their affidavits.  She has major social problems, does not work well with others and actually attacks other people. I was told she was kicked off the oil spill team because of her personality problems. I know from dealing with her that she is extremely vicious and hostile. She does not work well with city or state departments.

Rebecca Dmytryk of WildRescue has no Fish & Game permit, has never had one ever

I sent in an information act request to the California Department of Fish & Game (now called Fish & Wildlife) to get a copy of any documents they had that mention Rebecca Dmytry, Duane Titus or WildRescue. Here is their response. They had one scribbled note that one rehabber wanted to add Rebecca Dmytryk as a volunteer to help with foxes. That's it. As per Fish & Game Rebecca Dmytryk does not have and has never had a wildlife rehabilitation permit.

Rebecca Dmytryk's bankruptcy docket, no social security numbers

Below is the full docket for Rebecca Dmytryk's bankruptcy. I removed their social security numbers. I did some calculations and I don't think Rebecca Dmytryk had much of a job from 2000 to the present. It appears that she lived off the equity in the home her mom and dad gave to her as a gift. She also lived off of credit cards. As per the 990's of the entity that supposedly oversees WildRescue she did not take a salary. How did she and her husband survive? Their bankruptcy documents show they spent more than they made. Maybe her mom and dad supported her?

Rebecca Dmytryk's book "Wildlife Search and Rescue: A Guide for First Responders," a review

I just looked at the table of contents and a couple of pages. I don't think anyone proofed this book. There are huge misspellings even in the table of contents. I'm sorry but if someone doesn't know how to spell "carnivore" I don't believe they know much about wildlife. Lots of grammatical errors besides typos.

I just took a look at a manual Rebecca Dmytryk supposedly wrote called "Wildlife Paramedic 1, Basic training for first responders to wildlife emergencies" printed in 2000. I took her "wildlife paramedic" class in Malibu in 2001.  This is before she moved to Northern California. This manual is also very poorly written. I'd say 98% of the book is copy/paste from other people. In this situation that's a good thing. I remember the advice Rebecca Dmytryk gave during the class. Everyone had to keep correcting her.

Rebecca Dmytryk started off the class by telling us about herself. She told us about her problems with California Wildlife Center. She stated she started CWC all by herself. That's not true. Then she said she met an attorney named Frank Aaron I believe. He then became a board member. She told us that he and another woman then stole CWC away from her. The truth of the matter is the board members voted Rebecca Dmytryk off the board. She did not take that well. I already posted about that lawsuit in this blog. They had to get a restraining order against her.

Rebecca Dmytryk of WildRescue is bankrupt, assets, liabilities

Rebecca Dmytryk of WildRescue has $371,0000 in assets and $474,000 in debt. She went bankrupt.

Rebecca Dmytryk of WildRescue liabilities, debt, bankrupt

Rebecca Dmytryk of WildRescue has $125,000 in unsecured debt. Looks like she stiffed people for $125,000. Who would want to do business with this person?

Rebecca Dmytryk of WildRescue bankruptcy documents, personal property

Rebecca Dmytryk of WildRescue had $500 in cash, $1,000 in household items, $1,200 in clothing and $100 in rings. Actually that is the personal property of Rebecca Dmytryk and her husband combined.

Rebecca Dmytryk of WildRescue bankruptcy documents, credit card debt

She stiffed credit card companies for $67,000! She was sued for bankruptcy fraud and lost. Rebecca Dmytryk of WildRescue credit card debt.
