Rebecca Dmytryk sends a post to the CCWR Yahoo group. She says we can help clean up fishing line on Earth Day. She gets the days mixed up. For the life of me I do not know why she is a member of the California Council for Wildlife Rehabilitators. I believe they fear her mean spirit which is why they allow her. She tries to tell us how to rehab wildlife when she is not a rehabber. She gives really bad advice. I will be posting her CCWR posts here for all to see others rehabber tell her she doesn't know what she is talking about.

It's an all day worldwide effort to pick up loose fishing line from shores of oceans, lakes, rivers, and streams - around the world!
You can participate anywhere, any time, and for however long you like on April 23rd.

I think this has to do with Earth Day which is actually April 22, 2011. http://www.earthday.org/ Of course we can always clean up fishing line. I clean it up any time I see it.

Hi Rebecca hate to rain on your wonderful idea but you have picked a really bad time for most rehabbers its baby season and the majority of us are up to our little ears in little ones and 2-3-4 hour feedings. Can we move this to later like Sept or October the weather is nice and at he babies are either gone or grown and do not require so much of our attention.
